Laurelwood School PTA supports the California State PTA Honorary Service Award Program. The Honorary Service Awards (HSA) are the PTA's way to honor some of the extraordinary volunteers among us and recognize the impact their huge investment of time, effort and dedication has had at Laurelwood Elementary School. It’s time to acknowledge and celebrate some of our fabulous, hard-working volunteers or organizations whose contributions add immeasurable value to the middle school experience our children enjoy!

The HSA Program includes the Honorary Service Award, Continuing Service Award, Golden Oak Service Award, Very Special Person Award, and donations to the HSA Program.  A person may receive more than one of any of these awards (descriptions below).

Please take a minute to tell us about a deserving individual or organization whose contributions stand out in your mind – whose time, energy, enthusiasm and dedication have made a program or had a positive impact on our students, school or community.

Deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, March 31, 2017.

In addition to providing recognition to our volunteers, the Honorary Service Awards Program assists young people in achieving a higher education. In honor of each recipient, a preset contribution, paid for by Laurelwood PTA, will be made to the California State PTA Scholarship Fund.

HONORARY SERVICE AWARD
An Honorary Service Award (HSA) may be given to an individual or organization in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.

CONTINUING SERVICE AWARD
A Continuing Service Award (CSA) may be given to an individual or organization in special recognition of continued service to children and youth and may or may not have received a California State PTA Honorary Service Award.

GOLDEN OAK SERVICE AWARD
The Golden Oak Service Award is the most prestigious PTA award in California. This award may be given to an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in the school or community.

VERY SPECIAL PERSON AWARD
The Very Special Person (VSP) Award may be given by individuals or PTA constituent organizations to recognize an individual or group.
