Bio

Todd Kettler, Ph.D., is Executive Director of Baylor TIP and the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, and Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at Baylor University. He teaches courses in gifted education, talent development, creativity, and individual differences.

Dr. Kettler studies the science of exceptional performance. His book, Modern Curriculum for Gifted and Advanced Academic Students (Prufrock Press, 2016) won the Legacy Award for the best scholarly book in the field of gifted education in the United States in 2016. That text articulated Kettler’s four-level approach to exceptional talent development in academic domains. Dr. Kettler's upcoming book, the Oxford International Handbook of Creativity and Education is scheduled for release in the fall of 2024.

Dr. Kettler serves as Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the DeBusk Foundation, a private foundation supporting advanced learning opportunities for gifted and talented students. He also serves as the Vice-President for the Board of Directors for the Texas Council for International Studies. He is a member of the Texas Commissioner of Education Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education. He is the Director of the Creativity and Education Symposium, and he is the editor of the international Journal for Gifted Education and Creativity.
