Description
Just for 2020, the RISD Spirit Run is going virtual! Race against your classmates and other schools on a course of your own choosing. Submit your time and compete on our live leaderboards!
The Excellence in Education Foundation for Richardson ISD Schools provides funding for programs that support excellence in teaching and high-achieving students, raises funds for the enrichment and innovations of teaching for all students, recognizes and rewards excellence in teaching and performance, and reinforces positive relations with the community.
Virtual Instructions
How It Works:
1) REGISTER for the 5K with a friend or a team.
2) GO to the RISD Admin Building (400 S. Greenville Avenue, Suite 101, Richardson, Texas 75081) during packet pickup.
You’ll pick up your custom race bib, medal, and shirt. If you opt for the virtual run with shipping method, you will receive your goodies in the mail instead.
3) RUN OR WALK a 5K (3.1 miles) on the course of your choosing. For those who want to stay in the sanctum of your own home, you can even do a treadmill 5K*
For those not used to tracking their activities, Strava or MapMyRun are excellent free phone apps.
4) POST a photo of you in your bib, medal, crossing a homemade finish line, etc.
