Letter from our RMS PTO President

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Greetings Fellow RMSers,

On behalf of the entire PTO executive board, I would like to welcome your family to Radnor Middle School (RMS) for the 2019-2020 school year. This is my first year as the PTO president, and I am excited to share with you the mission and initial goals of this year’s PTO.

The PTO mission is to promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and communication among the parents, teachers and administrators of RMS. In addition, the RMS PTO provides programs, financing, and other vehicles to enhance and supplement the School District’s commitment to providing a high-quality education to all students at RMS. With this mission in mind, we hope to foster a strong RMS community. We also hope to encourage everyone to get involved in some way.

The PTO will continue to support the Cultural Arts Program and the Multicultural Committee at RMS, the various community outreach activities throughout the school year, and social events for our students. The PTO would also like to continue to support grants that enhance our students’ time at RMS. A large portion of our funding for these activities stems from the Family Sponsorship Campaign (FSC), so we encourage each family to consider donating this year. Please click here Family Sponsorship Link to contribute now.

Our vision this year is to support our new principal, Dr. Wiedlich, as he endeavors to create a middle school where hopes and dreams are connected! This year’s PTO board is full of ideas, enthusiasm, and commitment. We are proud to report that we have already begun working with Dr. Wiedlich and the school staff over the summer to provide a smooth start to the new school year.

Whether you’ve never been an active PTO member or are a PTO participant, let this be the year you get involved in the PTO!  Our PTO parent volunteers serve in various capacities: social/committee event chairs, event volunteers, executive board officers or as voting board of directors.  If you would like to learn more, please visit the RMS PTO website or email RadnorMSPTO@gmail.com. We invite you to join the entire RMS community as we strive to make this the best year yet for our middle school students. I hope to see you at the first PTO meeting on September 23rd.

Kindly,

Patty Balachandran

RMS PTO President
