For more than 120 years, the National Parent Teacher Association (National PTA®) has worked toward improving the lives of every child in education, health and safety. Founded in 1897 as the National Congress of Mothers by Alice McLellan Birney and Phoebe Apperson Hearst, the National PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.  They had a simple idea—to improve the lives and future of all children. They understood the power of individual action, worked beyond the accepted barriers of their day, and took action to change the world for all children.

Baywood's PTA consists of exemplary families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of our children and the promotion of family engagement in our school.

We need your help in recognizing and thanking those volunteers in our community by nominating these very special people.  Please use this form to nominate individuals for the service awards celebrated at the PTA Founders' Day.

Honorary Service Award:  An Honorary Service Award (HSA) may be given to an individual in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.  The award is given to a recipient who has not previously received this award.

Continuing Service Award:  A Continuing Service Award (CSA) may be given to an individual in special recognition of continued service to children and youth. This award may be given to a person whose contributions have been significant over a continuing period of time. The award is given to a recipient who has previously received the California State PTA’s Honorary Service (HSA) Award.

Outstanding Teacher Award:  The Outstanding Teacher Award (OTA) may be given to a teacher in special recognition for outstanding service in positively impacting the lives and welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community.

Outstanding Administrator Award:  The Outstanding Administrator Award (OAA) may be given to an administrator in special recognition for outstanding service in positively impacting the lives and welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community.
