NOMINATION PROCESS AND CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY
Nominations will be taken from the floor on the night of elections - Thursday, September 30, 6:00 PM.
All parents/guardians of a child currently attending LaGuardia High School are eligible to hold a PA office. However, per the Chancellor's Regulations, DOE employees are not allowed to run in the school in which they are employed, even if they have a child in the school.
Candidates will have the opportunity to make statements on the night of elections once the nomination period is closed.
A candidate need not be present at the time of election to be eligible to run. If a candidate is not present, another member may read the candidate’s statement.
TERM OF OFFICE
All elected Executive Board officers serve a one-year term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, with the exception of the Freshman Representatives to the EB and SLT, who serve October 1, 2021 through the day before the 2022 and 2023 Spring General Elections, respectively.
