Thank you for your interest in volunteering!  We are thrilled for your participation in the Quaker Ridge School PTA!

The work of the QRS committees includes planning various fun and educational programs for and providing numerous services to the QRS community.

Please indicate below your interest in chairing one or more QRS PTA committees for the 2022-2023 school year.  

NOTE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:  A committee chair is responsible for (1) LEADING the committee and its volunteers in the implementation of the committee's mission in an inclusive and respectful manner, and (2) ENGAGING other members of the QRS community in the committee's work, organizing committee meetings, meeting deadlines, managing the committee's budget, promoting the committee's events, and communicating the committee's plan with the appropriate PTA representatives and the QRS Principal and/or Vice Principal.  

CO-CHAIRS:  Almost every committee has at least two chairs and will have many volunteers - you are not serving alone! In addition, committee chairs from prior years are a wealth of information and insight.

2-YEAR TERM:  A committee chair serves a 2-year term. The committees listed below are those committees that have one or more unfilled chair vacancies for the 2022-2023 school year.  

RETURNING CHAIRS:  If you are currently serving as a committee chair for one of the committees listed below and intend to continue in that role for the next school year, you do not need to fill out this form again.  

VOLUNTEER:  The QRS PTA runs on the volunteerism of the QRS community.  More voices mean more ideas and the QRS PTA welcomes the input and participation of everyone in the community!

If you cannot commit to serving as a committee chair but wish to participate as a member of a particular committee, you will have many opportunities to do so.
